Privacy statement for the JAUMO App

JAUMO protects the personal data of the members to the best of their knowledge and according to the highest, current security standards. All communication via the JAUMO app is made via an Internet connection secured by SSL encryption. The protection of personal identity is ensured by the complete renunciation of real names.

The following regulations provide you with comprehensive information on the nature and scope of data collection by our app.

1. Personal data

3. Log files

JAUMO creates so-called backups (data backup) for the backup of the data, which are overwritten after about four weeks and are thus finally deleted. 11.2 JAUMO can transfer the location data collected via the app to third parties in order to enrich interest-based advertisement and to improve the functionality of the app. The location data is transmitted anonymously, without further data from the app users, and is not merged with other data collected via the app. You can prevent the collection of the location data by turning off the GPS function of your device or by deactivating location sharing in the app settings. Please note that you may not be able to fully utilize the functionalities of the JAUMO app without recording the location data.

12. Authorizations

16.1 The constantly updated firewalls, SSL encryption and other security systems used by JAUMO are intended to protect users against viruses, worms, trojans, etc., as well as against illegal access from the outside (hackers). JAUMO will maintain an appropriate level of protection and constantly adapt the applied safety technologies to the current state of technical development. Nevertheless, the user should be aware of the fact that 100% protection against such attacks can not be guaranteed due to constantly emerging viruses, worms, Trojans and other means of attacking secure data systems of Internet services.

16.2 JAUMO is not responsible for virus protection outside the JAUMO network. JAUMO is also not responsible for damage or destruction of user data. JAUMO will pursue every detected attack by hackers, etc. under civil law and, if necessary, by the prosecution.

17. Modification, blocking, and deletion of data and profiles

17.1 If the user modifies or corrects the data provided by him and deletes old entries, this data will be irreversibly and completely deleted by him. An application for correction or cancellation is not necessary to this extent. Notwithstanding this, the User has the right at any time to demand the correction of incorrect data stored through him at JAUMO. The simplest way is for the user to change their own entries.

17.2 If the user permanently deletes his entire profile and thereby terminates his membership at JAUMO, all data previously entered into his profile will be completely deleted. Excluded from the cancellation are the duration of the membership, possibly the reason for the termination of the membership as well as anonymous statistical data on the previous user behavior. Also, forum contributions are kept under the designation “unknown”, as they could be the basis for a discussion. Notwithstanding this, the User has the right at any time to demand the deletion of all personal data collected by him at JAUMO. In this case, the easiest way is to delete the entries themselves.

17.3 The former username and the associated e-mail address are always saved in the deletion of the profile and blocked for further use by JAUMO in order to avoid misuse. The Username can be used again at the earliest after four (4) weeks to register with JAUMO.

17.4 If the user requires the modification, correction or deletion of his personal data, this can be done by letter, fax or e-mail. The request is to be addressed to:

17.5 JAUMO points out that deleted data may also be available for up to 72 hours due to caching systems and the interconnection of proxy servers.

17.6 In case of abusive use of JAUMO’s services by users, JAUMO is entitled to temporarily block or completely delete individual data and content set by users or the entire profile of the responsible user. In the event of a profile being blocked, the user is denied access to his profile and all data filed under it, with the exception of the data age, gender, city and profile.
